☀ Premise

Premise

You wake up in a cozy bed that was always yours, in your house with your family and your pet waiting the hours of the morning where you were desperate to get some more sleep to pretend the sun hadn't already risen. ("Five more minutes...")

Breakfast is usual, your parents smile at you before ushering you off to school. You go to work, or school, saying hello and goodbye to the neighbours on their way as well. Old Man Jenkins is mowing the lawn again. His son was a purple heart. Oh, well, better hurry on your way before it's too late.

The sky is blue and the clouds are drifting in the distance. Kids are on the sidewalk, drawing with chalk, and the streets are brimming with familiar faces you've been around all your life.

You pass by the gates on your way. Pausing for a moment, you give the guards a pleasant wave, and they wave in return. The suddne thought of leaving slips into your head.

Leave? Why would you ever want to leave? Mason is your home, and it's always been, and it always will be.

Although, it's kinda curious how you've never seen those gates open or close, but instead people randomly show up in unoccupied houses. No matter, life's busy enough inside this community that you wouldn't bother going outside anyway.

About

Mason's Passage is a private, invite-only game set in the small, gated community of Mason's Passage set in 2010s America. The game takes inspiration from other slice-of-life games set in suburban settings such as Holly Heights as well as Mayfield with references to happenings in other games.

The game was created to primarily focus on interactions between characters and understanding how to play in a casual Dreamwidth game, as well as an exercise in moderation experience.
